Job summary
Red
Hat's Global Workplace Solutions team is looking for a Global
Construction Project Manager to join us in Singapore. In this role, you
will be responsible for coordination and logistics for expansions,
relocations, and new office openings of global real estate projects.
While working cross-functionally with multiple teams and external
partners, you'll set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and
summarize progress for each project. We'll need you to have good
communication and motivational skills, as you will guide a team and work
closely with other Red Hat teams.
Primary job responsibilities
- Manage all facets of real estate projects, including design, construction, budget, schedule, quality, occupation, and close out
- Communicate cross-functionally with multiple teams, project stakeholders, and third-party partners on design documents and address project requirements throughout design development
- Assist with the selection of architects, contractors, and other consultants to support project requirements and ensure project drawings are complete, coordinated, and constructible
- Help develop and manage budgets for individual projects as well as develop, manage, and track project work plans to meet changing needs and requirements
- Track progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budget, and approved timelines
- Effectively apply Red Hat methodologies and process, suggesting areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions
- Ensure projects are completed according to contract documents
- Minimize exposure and risk and proactively communicate all potential concerns or issues to appropriate stakeholders
- Hold regular status meetings with project teams and help develop metrics and key performance indicators
- Promote industry-leading best practices in sustainability for design, construction, product development, manufacturing, sourcing, and distribution, and keep up with industry research
Required skills
- Ability to work with global teams, sometimes requiring evening or early morning audio or video calls
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, project management, design, or equivalent
- 5+ years of construction project management experience, with a significant focus in real estate project management and sustainable practices
- Ability to review and interpret architectural, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, furniture, security, and technology drawings and specifications
- LEED accreditation or equivalent, as well as other globally recognized certifications are a plus
- Scheduling and contract administration, as well as international project experience is a plus
- High proficiency in spreadsheet and presentation applications as well as financial principles and reporting abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a demonstrated understanding of how to communicate difficult or sensitive information tactfully
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritize, problem solve, and manage your time effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and guide teams from multiple backgrounds, departments, cultures, and regions
- Experience in multiple project delivery methods; ability to manage multiple projects globally at the same time
- Ability to travel up to 25%
