DUTIES:As a IT Specialist (PLCYPLN) in the Project Management Division, you will:
Proactively review new and updated Federal laws, regulations, and guidance affecting Information Management and keep abreast of changing and emerging processes, frameworks, and methodologies. Develop agency policies, procedures, standards and guidelines for IT project planning and management. Evaluate agency mission, goals, plans, programs, priorities, and business process to assess progress of IT projects and releases for scope, cost, and schedule performance. Conduct oversight activities to ensure project teams are following a disciplined project planning and management approach and work in alignment with the approved schedule. Escalate risks and performance issues to appropriate management to proactively develop and implement corrective actions. Establish implementation strategies (communications, training, adoption of requirements) to meet Federal IT mandates. Evaluate training needs, resources, and/or materials required to develop and deliver a training program. Deliver training, coaching and mentoring to all PBGC staff and management. Assist in the preparation and review of training needs, resources, and/or materials required to develop and deliver a training program.
